Ron Palangio

Ron PalangioRon was born and raised in North Bay Ontario where he first began studying guitar at the age of twelve. During high school he was an active member of the band music program and began performing in local rock bands. In 1977 Ron joined the North Bay Musicians Guild and began performing professionally in Northern Ontario with various groups. The following year he moved to Hamilton Ontario to study Jazz and Classical guitar at Mohawk College’s Applied Music Program.  After graduating Mohawk in 1981 he performed professionally as a freelance guitarist around the Toronto-Hamilton area. His versatility along with his skills in sight reading and improvisation made Ron an in demand guitarist around the area performing for professional theatre productions, big bands, dance, pop, rock and country groups.  Ron has played with such artists as the late Bobby Washington, big band leader Harry Waller and singers Al Martino and Clint Holmes. He has taught guitar classes at Mohawk College and maintained a busy private guitar teaching schedule throughout the 1980’s.

Ron continued his studies at York University and later McMaster University where he graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Music (Summa Cum Laude) in 1986 and attended the University of Toronto Faculty of Education. Since 1987 he has taught secondary music with the Hamilton Wentworth C.D.S.B.  He  is presently Head of Arts at Cardinal Newman Catholic Secondary School and is the regional co-ordinator of The Golden Horseshoe Musicfest. Ron continues to perform regularly in Jazz clubs and private engagements in and around the Hamilton area. He and his wife Joanne are the proud parents of three talented children who have a keen interest in music and the arts.

Glen Brown

Glen Brown Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Glen now proudly calls Hamilton home. As a kid, Glen played in various school and community bands in Oakville, and the Burlington Teen Tour Band. In 1981 moved to Hamilton to study applied music at Mohawk College. During his time at Mohawk, Glen played drums for all kinds of performing groups, including small jazz ensembles, professional summer project bands, and the Mohawk College "Dues" Big Band. After graduating from Mohawk in 1984, Glen continued to study percussion, strings, winds and brass at McMaster University. He has played with the McMaster Concert Band, the McMaster Symphony Orchestra, The Sudbury Symphony and others. He began teaching music in 1988 and since his return to Hamilton has been a music and primary school teacher. Glen plays drums and sings backup vocals in RPG.

Frank Rocchi

Frank RocchiFrank is a versatile performer who over the past 30 years has enjoyed success as both a band member and solo artist. During the 1970s Frank played keyboards for Local Club Band Stage Crew.  During the 1980s and 1990s he fronted The Roomers and later Matrix.  Until recently, Frank had focused on his solo performances playing a range of music from jazz to contemporary pop. He played in Tripp Daddy for 2 years and now plays keyboards, sings and plays tenor sax with RPG.

Antoinette Krusto

Antoinette KrustoAntoinette has been making music her whole life. In the early years, she was strongly influenced by the Beatles, Bob Dylan and many folk artists. She joined a band at the age of 10 and never looked back. When folk music was big, she played in the Spur of the Moment folk group for 4 years and performed all around the province. Along with Frank, Antoinette then joined the rock/show band, Stage Crew, who played for many years at local Hamilton clubs, bars and university and college pubs. Now Antoinette has been bitten by the bug again and loves playing in her latest band, RPG. Her contributions to the Ron Palangio group vary between rhythm guitar, backup vocals, lead vocals, harmonica, and percussion. Antoinette loves to perform and connect with our audiences.
